  • Information for Dealer and Vendor Space

“Antiquing”
and collecting has become an American past-time. Television programs
like
“American Pickers”, “Auction Hunters”and “Cash and Kari” give
all the instruction needed for those great finds. Consignment at Dunagain’s
Antiques gives one the opportunity to get your feet wet as an antique and
collectible dealer. Typically a dealer scours the garage, yard, estate and tag
sales looking for those things that are desirable to collectors. This is
commonly referred to a picking.  After a good cleaning, and a little
research, the age and maker of the item can be verified. If these items can be
acquired at a “good” price dealer can resell them for a profit.
Consignment gives the beginner a chance to become a dealer without any commitment or cost of business start-up.  Pickers bring us their “finds” and either our vendors price the item for retail or the picker will price the item. Retail pricing reflects a profit for both the picker and store. Then we provide the bookkeeping, sales person, the sales tax collection (and
payment), and the space to display the item until that special person comes
along and purchases it for their own collection, or to replace something long
lost.
Maybe you just have some things you want to get rid of.
We will take single consignment items, a box full or a room full. Items
should be clean and in working condition.
It’s fun and profitable. Be careful because it can be addictive.
